Thank you, I have learned a lot. I started to edit my website from scratch using WordPress, not knowing ANYTHING about web design. I put something together using the "GO" theme where I have 6 pages. Naturally, they all have the same nice MENU at the top. Later, I switched to Elementor Basic for ONE of the pages (the HOME page) because I wanted to replace the standard white background with an image that would cover that whole page, so, I imported one. However, the menu at the top seems to have its own white background which covers the top part of my new chosen background image. My goal is to turn the menu background TRANSPARENT. I tried every which way via Elementor, but the MENU is not selectable. I'm onto something when I go to my dashboard and click on Appearance>Customize>Header>Background>Select Color. There, I can turn that white MENU background into any color I want except for Transparent. After playing around with the color picker, I can still click on “CLEAR” (the HEX code will show #RRGGBB) and the preview page displayed on the right shows the MENU background to be clear/ transparent. Awesome, right? The problem is after I click PUBLISH, on the actual page, the MENU background does NOT stay transparent, it goes right back to white! 🙁 Grrrr… WHHHY?!
Does the “Clear” option mean to “clear out” the previously selected color and go back to default, INSTEAD of making the color “CLEAR” as in “TRANSPARENT”? But why then am I able to see the display (on the right) with a MENU that has a “CLEAR” background and NOT let me have it that way when PUBLISHED? It’s misleading! 🙁
Could you help me with my query? Thank you so much!
(Also, what started all that is that I wanted a different background image for each page, and I still only can do it to ONE page because I switched to Elementor).
Didn't found the flying cats option…
